Andhra Cements Limited

Profitability instability: Net profit ranged ₹-49.91 Cr to ₹+48.52 Cr over recent quarters; Mar 2026 showed profit, Jun 2026 returned to ₹-35.93 Cr loss, indicating underlying operational issues not yet resolved.

Extreme leverage threatens solvency: Debt-to-equity 13.81 creates material risk, especially with volatile profitability; verify debt service coverage ratios and refinancing runway.

Thin operating margins vulnerable: OPM 2.63% (Jun 2026) leaves almost no buffer for input-cost shocks or demand weakness typical in cyclical cement sector.

Institutional skepticism signals distress: Zero FII, minimal DII (0.34%); stock down 56% from 52-week high (₹104.76 to ₹45.94), indicating market loss of confidence in recovery.

Revenue recovery from distressed lows: ₹54.86 Cr (Sep 2024) to ₹154.85 Cr (Mar 2026) represents 2.8× growth; recent Jun 2026 decline to ₹142.17 Cr requires verification of underlying demand sustainability.

Operating margin recovery demonstrated: -18.7% OPM (Sep 2024) to 5.7% (Mar 2026) shows operational capability; if margins sustain at higher levels, profit growth possible independent of volume growth.

Operational efficiency levers: Historical peak OPM 6.67% (Jun 2025) vs current 2.63% (Jun 2026) indicates significant cost volatility; stabilizing cost drivers could enable margin expansion and boost profitability.
